Webcredible approached us to help them move their brand forward and to redesign their website, under the joint direction of their Head of Marketing and Head of Web Development. The website needed to feature bespoke illustrations in order to be cool, eye-catching and creative to tell their unique brand story, yet be completed within a tight timescale.
The illustrations and branding would later need to be carried through to the office space through large wall decals and into the company's print work and exhibition banners to provide a truly consistent customer experience.
Our initial fully illustrated concept design for the website was loved by the Webcredible team, although we decided to slightly reign back to be a little more corporate to appeal more to their major clients. The illustrations became more supportive, particularly on the Home page, and we chose a simple line style so we could reference recognisable objects from their office.
We worked in an agile design process to explore the look and feel of the website in great detail, as each key page layout needed to have its own unique design elements, and they were keen to use interactive diagrams to illustrate some of their working methods. Every page design needed to pass their strict user testing team for usability and to demonstrate best accessibility practice.
Colour coding was used to differentiate the 3 key areas of the site for; their main services, their blog, and for Training. Over 40 bespoke illustrations and icons were created for the site. More complex illustrations were then created to decorate their office walls and windows which create a great talking point for their clients and training students visiting their office in central London. We also created print work for banners, business cards and a training manual, and we developed a house style which is used by their own Visual Designers to create on-going online graphics, banner ads and print work.
